Mishaps of Me-Knickers Girl

Pretty self explanatory this one! And I know it has definitely happened more than once to other people! Circa 2008, when body con was in, in a big way, I wore a jersey, white and navy dress, bit nautical, body con style dress for a work’s event. I decided white underwear was a good idea because let’s face it, the majority of the time nude is just plain ugly, and if there’s a chance you may get lucky it would be much nicer to be caught wearing white, French knickers than a nude thong.

All was going well for the night so far, and we all were having a great time, so decided on heading to a club after having a few too many free drinks at the event. We were having a great time, and noticed I was getting a few looks from boys when we were dancing. Always a confidence boost, but I should know from my experience if boys are looking at me they’re probably noticing something embarrassing about my outfit/appearance and it won’t be anything complimentary; it will most definitely be cringey.

I went up stairs to the roof terrace of the club for a bit of fresh air, when these guys came over to chat to myself and my friends. All was going well until one of their more drunken friends came over shouting,
“It’s knickers girl! It’s knickers girl! We can see your knickers in the uv light down stairs!”
Cue absolute cringe from me, and an extremely red face. Obviously I tried to laugh it off as there was nothing I could really do except go commando for the rest of the night which was absolutely NOT an option! I just had to grin and bear it, and stay away from the lights! Pretty sure I ended up getting a drink, snog and number from one of the guys so it wasn’t all bad in the end.

I also remember stealing milk the next morning on the rush in to work from outside a nursery of some sort as I was just so thirsty and dehydrated (sorry). Such a bad choice when you’re slightly hungover and the milk is semi warm from being outside on a summers morning! Definitely committed carbicide that day at work to get over the shame!
