Winter Blues

Create smoky eyes with a navy twist and take on this seasons colour trend. Midnight blue looks ace on all eye colours, steer well clear of frosty blue tones that can look dated.

Product picks:
Apply Mac eye pencil in Blooz @ £12.50 as a base under Urban Decays eyeshadow in Evidence @ £14 And blend out to a winged shape for a cool feline feel.

Get the Gloss

Whether it’s glowy skin, plumped up sheeny lips or wet look eyelids, try adding some gloss to your makeup look for AW14 as seen on many of the catwalks.

Top tip:
To get gloss effect eyelids try dabbing clear Vaseline or lipgloss over the top of a longwear cream eye shadow such as Mac paintpot in Groundwork @ £13 and pair with a dark berry lip.

White Wonderland

image

No other colour says winter quite as much as white, and the all-white-everything trend continues into AW14. Pick up on the trend by painting your nails geometric shades of white with a monochrome black tip for a bit of an edge.

Product picks:

Chanel White Satin nail polish @ £17, Art Club Black nail art striper @ £3.50, Seche Vite Topcoat @ £11.50

Get a Grip

image

For a simple and unique hair idea, get creative with your Kirby grips and make your very own hair art. Try using glittery and coloured hair grips to create cool looks for a night out.

Pro tip:

Spray each grip with some Ellnett hairspray @ £4.99 before putting onto the hair for extra hold. Also put the grip in wobbly side next to your head – it holds much better!
